Why it is good to set an intention
Dr. Mohan talks with HelloHealth’s Chief Relationship Officer, Meagan Davies, on self-reflection and setting intentions.
In this episode of "HelloHealth Today," Dr. Carmen Mohan talks with Meagan Davies, Chief Relationship Officer about setting intentions for the new year through self-reflection. Instead of making a New Year’s resolution, make time to reflect on yourself, your actions, and your emotions. She discusses how she does this in her own life and gives you ways to do it in yours. The more you can make self-reflection a part of your routine, the greater the impact the process will have on your life.
Action Steps:
Today's Action Steps come courtesy of Meagan Davies:
Instead of making a New Year’s resolution, make time to reflect on yourself, your actions, and your emotions. Here is a list of questions to use in the reflection process:
1. Am I using my time wisely? How am I using my time during the day/week/month?
2. Am I taking anything for granted?
3. Am I employing a healthy perspective? Can I separate fact from feelings?
4. Am I living true to myself? Am I authentic in my interactions with myself and others?
Here are additional questions that can be used in the reflection process:
5. What are the last thoughts I have before I fall asleep? Are they positive or negative?
6. How am I cultivating my relationships?
7. Am I taking care of myself physically and emotionally?
8. Am I letting matters that are out of my control stress me out?
9. Am I achieving the goals that I have set for myself?
10. What is missing in my life?
The more you can make self-reflection a part of your routine, the greater the impact the process will have on your life.
